NJB Contractors were established by Mr John Nichols in 1972, who has worked hard to build up our company's good name, we pride ourselves on carrying out an excellent job at competitive rates. With great personal service from a small company who offer large range of all domestic and industrial, building, plant, groundwork and civil engineering needs. John then set up Leiston Plant Hire Ltd in 1974, after recognising a need for a hire company in Leiston and also starting to acquire more and more plant and machinery for use with NJB Contractors.

Then in 1984 John's son Mr Greg Nichols joined the family business working as a labourer to begin with. He worked his way up with John teaching him his values and business knowledge. Until 1994 when he started running both companies. He with his father still run and oversees both businesses.

Now John has retired, Greg oversees and runs both businesses with the help from his wife, Teresa managing the accounts and his nephew Adam managing the Plant Hire side. We still employ a small team, to ensure all works and hires are completed to high standards.

Our Core values haven’t changed, and we still want to provide the best services, to our customers at
competitive prices. Greg has a wealth of knowledge about all groundworks, civil engineering, all drainage and blockages and the plant hire needs, for any building project, no matter the size. He will always find time to help customers solve their building needs.
